Fact and Opinion Unit
This is a three leson unit that teaches fact and opinions to kindergarten students. The three lessons are: Opinion, Fact, and Identifying Facts and Forming Opinion. The teacher will use think aloud strategy to introduce the concept of opinions, concepts of facts vs. opinions, and the teacher models how to find facts and opinions using the text. Students also have an opportunity to write opinions through guided and independent practice. Unit plan has suggestions to use the book Animal Touch by Kirsten Hall.
