States of Matter
This resource provides a virtual lab that allows the student to explore the particle nature of matter in different phases.
Excellent resource that allows the student to explore the molecular model for solids, liquids, and gases and extends this model to phase changes. It also describes how heating or cooling changes the behavior of the molecules and how changing the volume can affect temperature, pressure, and state. Finally, pressure-temperature diagrams are developed to describe the behavior of molecules.
