Ayers Institute Webinars
"Read it again!" is something kids say almost just as much as "Why?". Learn how to read a book repeatedly, concentrating on a different skill each time.
Susan Frizsell of the Nashville Public Library Foundation's Bringing Books to Life! program shares how to use open-ended questions, character studies, and details from illustrations to encourage critical thinking skills. Participants will learn which books are recommended for repeated read alouds and how to plan for each individual read aloud.
This online webinar is appropriate for both classroom teachers and school/district leaders.
