Pythagorean Theorem
Students learn vocabulary associated with the Pythagorean Theorem. Students also learn to add the squares of the legs to determine the hypotenuse.
Students view a power point that contains the vocabulary associated with the Pythagorean Theorem. Students also use visual representations of a right triangle and how to determine the hypotenuse using squares. Students could take this a step farther and use linking cubes to prove the theorem.
