Making No-Bake Peanut Butter Cookies (Mixtures)
When we combine different things together, we are making a mixture. This particular bunch of ingredients go together really well. We don't need to bake the cookies as there are no ingredients that we have to warm up and we don't need to change the shape or texture and taste of the cookies by baking them. They taste great just the way they are after we mix them up! When you look at the cookies and dough, it is almost impossible to see the individual ingredients - you can't see the powdered sugar, powdered milk or honey or syrup. They are all mixed together to make a brand new concoction! If you want to experiment with recipes and ingredients, try making the dough all over again and adding combinations or individual things like chocolate chips, raisins, coconut, or nuts and miniature marshmallows.
This is a hands-on engaging activity to use with young children. Mixing together ingredients to make cookies! Just remember to check for peanut allergies before you start. This recipe is great because once the ingredients are mixed together you can hardly see in individual ingredients. There is also suggestions to add chocolate chips, raisins, coconut, or miniature marshmallows (which you can separate).
