States of Matter
At this link you will find several resources for "States of Matter". There are activity sheets where students can identify solids, liquids, and gasses. There are also activities and experiments such as , "Oobleck Science" and "Layering Liquids". You must become a member to view these activities, but the membership is FREE!
In Kindergarten and First grade students must identify and objects and materials as solids and liquids. This link has experiments and activity sheets that you can print off. You could use these worksheets as a form of pre or post assessment. Projecting the worksheet on smartboard or ebeam where students can participate by selecting the objects that are solids or liquids would be very engaging. The worksheet are in color and age appropriate.
