Biodiversity
This video clip is 3:46 minutes and explains the general definition of biodiversity as well as three types of biodiversity; genetic, ecosystem, and lanscape. The speaker also explains why maintaining biodiversity is important to humans, and gives examples of each.
This clip could be used as an introduction to the study of biodiversity with discussion and group work to follow. Students could research various areas and then add to the examples given. A graphic organizer would work well to help students organize and present their findings.
