Our Language
This site talks about the ways the English language has been and can be used. There are sections on using language for persuasion, for power, for shared identities, and for creation of prejudice or stereotypes. Good information that shows the power and versatility of language.
This site could be used by teachers to simply gain knowledge about language usage and how it changes, but students could also work through the site, clicking on the different tabs to gain the same information.
