The Original Persuasive Essay Thesis Builder
This interactive tool allows students to type answers to questions about their persuasive essay topic, and the program creates a thesis.
This resource can be used when teaching how to write a thesis for a persuasive argument. Students may create multiple thesis statements using the generator before choosing one they want to use; they may generate a thesis and then evaluate its effectiveness for their essay's purpose; or they may write an original thesis before they use the generator and compare/contrast the theses. Another idea is to use the thesis builder as a model way to write a thesis, guiding students to use questions in thesis creation.
