People in Science
This is an exciting page full of information about people in the science field. This would be a great source for a class project to incorporate essays, research papers , reading and writing skills across the curriculum. This site includes the first women in the noble field of science and space exploration and their contributions to them.
Past scientists are essential to learning and conducting experiments that are presented in classrooms. There are many people that have invested their life work to the field of science. There are few standards that address this but it is necessary to know, if for no other reason, than to prepare our students for the assessments that will include some of these scientists. This is a wonderful web site that has a picture of the scientist and what they contributed to the field as well as a biography of each person listed.
