The Pythagorean Theorem
A 10-minute video screencast at Khan Academy overview of the Pythagoean Theorem. Two simple problems are presented to solve first for the hypotenuse length, then for a shorter side length of a right triangle.
The video shows how to solve for the unknown of a triangle using the Pythagorean Theorem and would provide a starting point for presenting other problems which would demonstrate student understanding and application of the Pythagorean Theorem in mathematical problems. Supplementing this video with real-world problems would sufficiently address and assess standard CC G.8.7
