Build an Atom
The interactive simulation is great for student interaction and explanations on the subatomic parts, charges and locations of atoms . The tutorial is multi-leveled and a can be used as a differentiated lesson.
The resource demonstrates how the properties of matter/compounds are determined by its structure and arrangement of its atoms. Students build an atom out of protons, neutrons, and electrons, and see how the element, charge, and mass change.
