How Cells Divide
This interactive web-based activity provides a step-by-step, side-by-side comparison of meiosis and mitosis. As students click through the steps, a brief animation is shown alongside written information about the step.
Students are able to compare what they know about Mitosis and Meiosis side by side. This allows students to easily compare and contrast these processes based on the ultimate outcome of both. Understanding Meiosis allows students to understand how genetic variability exists in a population.
