Gas Exchange in Humans
This is one of many short videos provided by McGraw-Hill. At first glance, one may assume it is too challenging for seventh graders because these videos accompany some of their higher education textbooks, but this three minute video provides a wonderful overview of how gases are exchanged in the human respiratory system.
Note: It is important that the students have already covered the concept of diffusion before attempting to use this resource. The only terminology used that goes beyond this content thread is the reference to partial pressure of oxygen (PO2 ). As an educator, evaluation may be necessary to determine appropriateness for specific classroom populations. Regardless, it is a wonderful resource for educators.
