Maglev Trains
This is an interesting video that shows and explains how a meglev train appears to glide on a wave of electromagnetic force. A maglev train can travel up to 300 miles per hour or faster while seemingly never to touch the rails. In this video, the designer-engineers describe the mechanics and future benefits of such superconductor trains.
This video emphasizes the importance of electromagnets and their importance in the area of transportation. The video also illustrates how these superconductor trains will impact man's daily activities. Excellent extension activity that is closely related to the GLE.
