List-Group-Label
Included on this site are directions for using the vocabulary strategy, examples for cross-curricular use, a brief list of children’s books to use with the strategy, tips for differentiated instruction, and research that supports the strategy.
List-Group-Label is a form of semantic mapping. The strategy encourages students to improve their vocabulary and categorization skills and learn to organize concepts. Categorizing listed word, through grouping and labeling, helps students organize new concepts in relation to previously learned concepts.
