Interactive Power Proofreading
This link is an interactive proofreading activity that allows students to choose a grade level (2-8) and passage topic. The passage is displayed with errors, and students are led to correct all mistakes in order to earn points. The activity uses sound, visual prompts, and hint/help buttons to guide students through the proofreading process.
This activity is best used for student practice or review because it assigns a targeted skill based on the passage the student chooses. This is a differentiation tool because both the text and skill level can be set from second to eigth grade. Using the tool requires basic keyboarding skills.
