Graphing a set of data to determine the line of best fit using a graphing calculator
This will give you a set of data and have the students enter it on a graphing calculator, then find the line of best fit. It uses a real-life example for the data. It is very detailed in helping the students navigate their way through finding the line of best fit on a graphing calculator.
This activity uses a graphing TI-84 Plus calculator. It is helpful to students because it takes them through the entire process. It can be used independently or dependently. The students like this activity because it allows them to work without "solving" a problem.
