Classroom Architect: Enhance Your Classroom Space

The skillful teacher understands that there is no single way to arrange a classroom. The selected room arrangement diffesr according to the students' ages and previous experiences, the background knowledge of teachers, and their willingness to experiment with new ideas. Classroom Architect is an interactive tool that makes it easy to create a classroom environment that nurtures student explorations, language, and ideas.

 

Implementation

1. To use this tool first select the basic choices from the Room Dimensions dropdowns.
2. Next drag objects to the grid from the Items bar, or draw in your own objects with the Draw bar.
3. Arrows allow the position of some items to be changed.
4. Delete an object by dragging it to the trashcan at the bottom, or by clicking 'delete' on your keyboard. Finally, print the classroom creation, or save it and start a new one.
5. The floor plans are saved to a cookie on your computer and can only be viewed on the computer used to create them.
