Fun With the Sun
This extensive unit is geared toward grades k-2 in Colorado. Although the standard numbers are different, the unit fits Tennessee standards well. Several inexpensive activities using basic materials are included. Many of the activities can stand alone. The t-shirt design activity is universal to any subject and any grade. The design a t-shirt activity can be adapted to whichever section you want to use it. Most young children love to color, draw, and have their work displayed. A clothes line with t-shirts hanging on it to "dry" with a sunshine would make a great display mid-study or at the end.
