Mitosis, Meiosis and Reproduction
This introduction of this activity reads “When you fall and scrape the skin off your hands or knees, how does your body make new skin cells to replace the skin cells that were scraped off? How does each new cell get a complete set of chromosomes? How does a baby get his or her genes?” Students will find the answers to all these questions by completing this lab activity. The activities from this website are quite reliable and very thorough teacher preparation notes are always provided. The notes for this particular activity can be found at: http://serendip.brynmawr.edu/sci_edu/waldron/pdf/GeneticsTeachPrep.pdf
