Conference:
Date / time:
Thursday, October 3, 2019 - 9:20am
We will imagine the impact that teaching consent to students at all levels can have on response to and eventually prevention of violence that children experience. We will specifically look at how intentional consent messaging can combat negative family messages, lived experiences, and societal messages that normalize experiences of violence. These lessons on consent can help students be better advocates of their own experiences, help adults respond more appropriately as trusted adults, and make our communities safer.
