B.A. in French Studies from Sewanee: The University of the South; Ed. M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education
Jerre Maynor, Jr. is the director of student readiness and pathways at the Tennessee Department of Education. In this role, Jerre is the state lead of Tennessee Pathways, a statewide framework to ensure structural alignment and partnerships between K-12, higher education, and industry in order to ensure that all students have clear, guided pathways to postsecondary success. After initially pursuing a career in professional golf, Jerre began his career in education as an admissions counselor at the University of the South, known as Sewanee. He holds a bachelor’s degree in French Studies from Sewanee and a master’s degree in higher education administration from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Jerre was recently selected as a resident for the 2018-2020 Broad Residency in Urban Education, a national leadership program dedicated to excellence and equity in every public education system.
